Bill is the Founder of ChemFree. He is the principal designer and technical resource for the ChemFree System.
Bill’s background includes research on the low temperature photoconductivity of solids. This work was done while he was an Associate Professor of Physics at Penn State University. After Penn State he joined Bell Laboratories where he performed R&D in the areas of lasers and fiber optics. While at Bell Labs he was awarded the honor of Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. He joined Lightchip, a startup in the dense wavelength division multiplexing field, as a Vice President of Technical Marketing. Subsequently, Bill became the CTO for kSaria, developers of automated processes for fiber optic processing. More recently he had founded WorldTech Consultants through which he was introduced to the need for non-chemical foam control which led to the founding of ChemFree. Bill holds 8 patents and is widely published in the areas of physics research and education.
Bill holds a BS degree in Physics from Pennsylvania State University. He also holds MS and Ph.D. degrees in Solid State Physics from Lehigh University.
